very cool stuff. I am reminded more of Eno than Glass.although I do hear your Glass influence.
Cage, Eno, Glass, Arvo Part have been on my listening radar for years and years.
one of the reason I wanted to get into recording was to make real the things I hear things in my head.

I like your conception and it gives me hope that I too will one day acheive what you have.

Sorry my friend and don't take this badly but it sounded like one long intro to me. Maybe its old age but when nothing happens after a minute I hit the stop button. I listened to the whole piece hoping that something would really make me sit up and listen.

Hey maybe its a genre I am not familiar with so take my comments with a pinch of salt.

Never. I respect everyone's opinions, and learn from them. I'd rather hear an "I don't get it" or "this is crap" or "was that static 'supposed to be there'" than to hear nothing. One young kid on another board wrote once "it's really hard to mak a judgement of a one hour piece of music from a one minute clip", so I made them all around 5 minutes.

As far as all sounding like intro's. When I do a preview, some times it's the first 5 minutes of a 50 minutes piece. So yeah, it is an intro. Also, the music is very long and sometimes goes absolutely no where. That's the point. Why should it? The reason I do this music is for relaxation and escape. I don't really intend for people to play my music and listen with 100% attention, and I don't think people always listen with that much attention to anything anyway. I do music that you can put on and go about your day. It was actually for started as a project solely for myself. Long boring days at work in a laboratory, long drives to and from work. Tired of radio, commercials, talk shows, ect. I wanted this music, and that's I'm doing.

I tried for years to do music that would "attract attntion", but found that the problem I was having was that when I was doing that, it wasn't keeping attention. 4 minutes and its over, 45 minutes and it's gone. I have been into electronic music since elementary school, and decided to go that route. The difference is that I use electric guitar, no sythesizers. The main difference in my music is that I do 5 hour albums. Each disc is MP3 formatted so it will fit.

Thanks for the comment. There are a few down load sites with my stuff. I've posted them before, but here they are again (why not, eh?)

Well my friend I'm glad you took it that way. I have listened to a few of your tracks and just have accept its not my genre. Mind you I never understood Andy Warhol and never considered his work art but he sure made a pile of money doing it.

Good luck anyway and may you sell a pile of Albums as I will be the first to say way to go.

Have a good one,

Gerry

PS You might just like a track called Time and Space I did a while back
http://www.gerrycooper.com/songs its just over half way down.

Oenyaw,
I stumbled on a weird aspect of that cdbaby site. You can play multiple samples at the same time! If you don't click the play arrow again they just keep playing even after you choose a new sample.
I made an inadvertent mash up of tracks 3 and 5 before i figured out what was going on. :)
