Hi all!

My new band has been working at a lightning pace lately, every week we seem to come up with a new song. We're starting to hit the open mics here in Austin next week, so we'll be getting them a lot tighter in a basic acoustic setup.

For those who didn't want to download or click on mp3s, we've got a "Virb" page now. Virb is like MySpace but friendlier to musicians, since you can post up to 30 songs and organize them into albums. It's a great site.

Here's the link:

The new songs are:

"Screwed you" - a falsetto funky disco/soul number, written by Reed with music by me, sung by Reed.

"Feel so lost" - A country tune, written partly by me and completed by Reed. Lead vocals by me, backing vox by Reed.

"Panic in the streets" - Bright poppy song written and sung by Reed, with backing vox by me.

"5017" - a science-fiction love story, written and sung by Reed, music by me.

And I played the guitar.

Before we ever played in front of anybody we were really into recording our songs and doing elaborate home productions with lots of instruments and effects. Now we're mostly focusing on playing live, and working up our little two-man band to be a much tighter performing unit. Somehow we're more interested in people's responses to the songs in person, home recording doesn't seem so compelling now!

Anyway, I know that's a lot of stuff, but I'd love to get some feedback on the songs! Thanks gang.
