Hey guys, yesterday I wrote this song with one of my friends. We were trying to make the most cliche blues song we could possible make. It has 8 verses, and it's around 7 minutes long. Check it out.

Lyrics:
Packin' all my bags
Goin' down to Tennessee
Runnin' from the devil
Goin' down to Tennessee
I'm runnin' out of trail
He's catchin' up to me
Walkin' all night long
Travelin' the dusty roads
A lonesome man approached me
Travelin' the dusty roads
Headed to the windy city
That's where I'm bound to go
I spent the night in Memphis
Slept in a railroad car
Got a case of heartbreak
Slept in a railroad car
My woman packed up and left me
All I got is my guitar
A dingo ate my baby
He ain't comin back no more
I tried to shoot the dingo
He ain't comin back no more
My legs and feet are tired
My soul is feelin' sore
My momma was a sailor
She sailed the seven seas
Got hit by an iceberg
She sailed the seven seas
Her spirit is inside me
Her soul haunts my dreams
I'm runnin' from myself
Headin' way out West
Climbin' hill and mountains
Headin' way out West
If I die before tomorrow
I have one last request
Give me back my conscience
Return the lives I stoled
Release me into heaven
Return the lives I stoled
Clear my inner demons
Purify my soul
Packin' all my bags
Goin' down to Tennessee
Runnin' from the devil
Goin' down to Tennessee
I'm runnin' out of trail
He's catchin' up to me
One chord is fine.
Two you're pushing it.
Three and you're into jazz.
I am reminded of a song performed by David Allen Coe. he said he wrote the perfect country and western song. it had all the important words and sentiments........much like your blues here. at the end of this song he talks about his friend and writer, Dave Goodman, telling him and saying it isn't the perfect country and western song because you hadn't sang about your mama, trains, and pickup trucks.
I need more verses from you. and some more playing styles.( nice guitars).
you ain't done. you didn't mention, drinkin', gamblin', sinnin', your mama, jail or rain.

I imagine you're talking about David Allen Coe and Steve Goodman. (I know "You Never Even Called Me..." very well.)
Nice song, my friend. I really like it. (The cliches have done so many performers so well, why stop now?)
Take care,
Casey
that's right...Steve Goodman. I really like his writing. too bad he died early.

And if the song has the dog dieing,
that's when I fall apart.
I can't handle it.
He did mention attempting to shoot a dingo. Whoa!
(Didn't think dingos were indigenous to TN or even U.S.)
(Anymore than llamas are indigenous to Asia - Hey, Nick)
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
I had never heard of David Allan Coe till a few days ago when my wife gave me a CD that her brother gave her of an underground tape of supposedly David Allan Coe, Willie Nelson and Kid Rock among others.
None of the music could be played on the air or for that matter in pretty much anywhere except if you had headphones on, very racist, sexist stuff..some of it very very funny but the thing the grabbed my attention was the musicianship of the players. I'm no contry music lover at all but I have to say there was some real nice steel guitars or whatever you country boys use.
"It's all about stickin it to the man!"
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!
