You guys have a great sound. I listened to both songs and felt ‘Everything' had to much dead space. Try to think of it from the marsh pit peoples point view :D . I was left hanging for awhile. The end of that song is great, maybe play that longer to absorb some of the dead space.

Just a thought.

thanks dude, that's what we actually do.......we make the end of a song way longer on a concerts, so that people could feel the groove and go crazy!!!

Hey. Listened to Agony. That is the driest mix I've ever heard, I think. There's hardly even any room verb. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just an observation. Please don't take any offense to this. It's only my opinion. I thought the kick drum sounded a little dull. Too padded maybe. I loved the double kick part w/the 32nd note triplets. The guitars sounded fine. I thought there were some spots that could have used some ambient feedback from one of the guitars. (I'm assuming you're wanting to keep it as live sounding as possible.) The bass kind of got hidden in the mix once the gui9tars kicked in. I think the kick drum and the bass are tuned in to the same frequencies. There wasn't quite enough to differentiate the drums in the mix. The vocals were good, though I think you could probably do a lot better. You just didn't sound pissed off enough to me. Mind you, I can only imagine how hard it is to scream like that for four minutes at a time(not to mention hours of studio time.). If I had it my way I would tighten up the kick drum sound a bit and maybe just add some minor room reverb or even mic the room that you were in. I would probably get one of the guitarists to improve a bit with some loud feedback.Overall it sounds like your engineer did everything he could to get the best signal to disc. That is it sounds good and the song...well the song is a little violent for my taste but well played.

hey hueseph!
thanks for such a thorough input!
i agree that a song mix isn't the best. actually we recorded at our friend's studio "music78rus"......and this is his first release. and we haven't had enough equipment, compressors and other stuff to make it sound full. what we wanted to do is to make our demo out as soon as possible and start playing out and spread it on the concerts. we will try to make better mix on album.
