Evening all,
Well, I got home from work yesterday and started mucking around with a chord progression which I liked. However, I had urgent things to deal with . . . Friday evening, therefore the pub was calling. I jotted down what I did, and came back to it today and spent a few hours on it playing about. Now I've finished writing this song and have popped it onto youtube (no video though, I was recording it with my new mixer and to be honest couldn't be bothered re-recording it for a video . I just took a photo of me while I was recording the rhythym parts and used that as a background instead! :) It's pretty simple and the vocals are obviously nothing to write home about (actually had to keep them quiet on purpose because others are asleep in the house!), but I quite like the solo I came up with at the end though. :D

I'd appreciate feedback as always. :)

Nicely done. I especialy liked the solo at the end, it had a nice mournful sound that matched up nicely with the vocals. I thought the rhythm part sounded a tad rushed. Overall, a great effort.

Thanks. :)
I agree about the rythym part - during my initial mucking around with that intro/verse riff, I was playing it a lot slower but seemed to speed it up later. I maybe will do a better version at some point.
Incidentally, the end solo settings were just my normal channel 2 on the Vox, set up for David Gilmour's Comfortably Numb solo sound! Only difference was I switched delay for reverb.
