Hey there. First time I'm posting on Hear Here so be gentle :)

It's Wish You Were Here from Pink Floyd borrowing things from dhodge's great lesson but mostly using the version I learned in guitar class.

Gear: (heh. The irony makes me smile.)
Recorded on my linux laptop using audocity and a PC microphone. Exported as mp3.

Guitar: Seagull S6+ Spruce

It's 100% unedited including my cool fade out outro and played in one go.

Cheers.

Dude that rocks!!!! I wouldn't change a thing!!!! I'm very impressed how long you been working on it? This was the first song I learned it took me almost three months to get it.

art&lutherie,

Thanks a lot. This is actually one of the first lessons I looked at on guitarnoise and it was crucial at that point that I played this because it made me realize a few things the most of important of which being "even stuff that sounds unbelievably cool, can be doable" :) I think I have to thank dhodge for that.

But I never got past the intro for some reason. Then in guitar class two weeks ago, we studied this song with a different intro/fingering and it all clicked.

Thanks again for listening.

Good stuff :D very nice, Goes to show that you can get a reasonable recording with a cheap mic and a standard sound card :D You should post that over at jams and collaborations and have someone add some vocals , and maybe get someone to add some other parts to it as well ( like slide guitar )--the dog

Oktay, I'm very impressed. That sounded great.

Guitar quality was good as well.
