No, MP3s work fine. There's a problem with the streaming from that site.

I'm at work right now. When I get home (9hrs) I'll either PM you with the MP3 or e-mail it to you. Hopefully one of those will work.

I'll need to record it first! :D

(Edit)
Actually, I do have this online: http://www.guitarchat.net/modules/Media_player/Ricochet/StarSpangledBlues.mp3

I recorded that about 2 years ago. Since then, that's become the center of a three-part SSB. I start off with a pretty traditional sounding arrangement, sliding in Open D. As it ends, what should be the last note is cut off by a loud bang (popping the sixth string), and a short, explosive minor riff. The bang and riff repeat, then I go into the minor key version linked above. As it winds down, I go into a "flat tire" rhythm and pick up into an upbeat, boogie version of the tune, that ends traditionally. I played it as the prelude to our church choir's patriotic musical program last July 4, and am booked to do it again this 9/11. I need to record it.

Well, Tracker E-mailed me a copy. I like it! The pick slide "jets" sound cool! The problem that wouldn't let me open it was that the extension "MP3" had somehow gotten changed to "MP3^".

Hmmmm. It worked earlier this afternoon. The site owner was upgrading the server software this afternoon. I'll go root around and see if I can find where it went.

OK, here's a link that worked a minute ago:
http://www.guitarchat.net/modules/Media_Player/Ricochet/StarSpangledBlues.mp3

(Looks like the same link. But I got a 404 a few minutes ago, then I went over to http://guitarchat.net/ and found it in the "media player" link, then copied it, and now it works when I click it over here.)

That was a very interesting approach. I liked it!

When you record you're multi-tracked version, I would like to hear it as well.

Tracker

Hey, that was good!

I only heard one pick slide. I liked it, but maybe a little slower slide and a little longer duration.

I heard one little mistake around 1:04- 1:07. But the Star Spangled Banner is really a tough tune.

I try to be honest. I wouldn't give you an A+ for that, but I would give you an A.

Wes

 Yea, I tried editing it and that was the best I could do. I need to re-record it.

The pic slide was to emulate jets flying over.

Thanks for my A. I never was good at tests!

That was my Johnson Style 1 Tricone (cheap Chinese copy of a National) in Open D minor. With Dunlop nickel silver fingerpicks and a big Dunlop brass slide.

I'm sitting here playing it now on the Agile 2500 series Goldtop with three P-90s on it that just arrived for my boy. Tuned it into Open E with the little strings and low setup it arrived with. I get the minor chords by fretting the third string behind the slide, and the sus4 from fretting in front of it. Using a wine bottle neck and bare fingers. I'll switch on the recording in a little bit. Wes'll find more than one mistake in it by the time I'm done, I'll bet! (I haven't really worked on this in months.)

I have a $99.00 Johnson JG 610 ( el-cheapo) I use mostly for slide work, and I just love it! I can get a pretty good tone from it most of the time  I mostly like the fact that I only paid $99 for it 8) 8) I put a single coil dunlop acoustic guitar pickup on it, I can get a good Elmoor James sound on it. I have been looking at the Johnson tricone at the local music store, my birthday is coming up and i have been droping hints to the wife   --the dog
