Vic posted this tab this morning and it being one of my favorite tunes I thought I'd have a go.
It's the first and second verse and chorus only, but you'll get the idea.
Nice playing and pretty much the perfect voice for singing it.
I really liked the back up's and effects on it, nice touch! 8)
The main question being........ what guitar did you use?
Thanks very much. That was the '92 Washburn D-25s
I have to ask, what effects did you use towards the end cause that just kicked my a--? Totally not expecting it and you used at the perfect times.
Did you generate the effects through your recording program or through a mixer or both?
Thanks,
Mike
The only thing that has effects on it is the harmony vocals in the chorus.
I just added chorus and backed the dry sound out a bit. I used Acid Pro 4 to mix it.
Everything else is straight mic. It's recorded one shot, besides adding in the harmony line, in my semi-cavernous unfurnished basement.
I recorded using a Samson C01 Condensor attached to a Behringer Ultra Voice pre-amp.
Brought on a smile for me. Put it on the RJ2005 list.
-=tension & release=-
Thanks PJ.
Greg, I'll forward the suggestion off to the song selection committee.
Nick,
Really liked that, didn't picture your voice spounding like that at all though.
"It's all about stickin it to the man!"
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!

Fab - really enjoyed it. Great tune, great version, loved the palm mute strum and the general feel of it.
Nice one!
Matt
Sounds good to me - I'm still having trouble with that pesky Am7!!!!!

Hey Vic, did you see my fix for the Am7? Makes it much easier.
Great song Nick, I hope I can some day put something together that fast.
Gene
Yeah Nick, saw the alternative Am7.....still can't work out whether to go for that, or just to hit the D once and then get the fingers ready at the fifth fret.....
Thanks for that anyway....

Something else I just thought of....hit the D chord, then hit it again .... using all harmonics at the 12th fret then it'll ring out....then the Am7....either way, should give ample time to get to whichever voicing of the Am7 you use...what d'you think?...We are talking about a solo guitarist trying to impress his mates in the pub here....
