EDIT: Soundclick seems to not be working with me... hmm...

I'm not sure what you are looking for here. I can't really give you any tips, because you recorded it two years ago, so I'm sure most of my suggestions would be useless.

I can say however, that "Soundclick seems to be working for you".

No no, it did sound like little wing. But, that is a good idea, recording a new one so we can see.

Alright, this thing is first take, so there's alot of boo-boo's I didn't get sorted out. 8) I played this with a borrowed Squier Bullet(plywood) with the action about an inch from the fretboard(The person I borrowed it from is using it as a slide guitar.

Much better than the first one! You can definitly nail this song to the wall.

Couple of suggestions for you:

Try to find a backing track for the song. Maybe http://www.guitarbt.com has one.

Play along with the song a lot, so you can get all the timing down and everything like that (timing is something I have a bigggggggg problem with in my own playing ;) )

And lastly, maybe lighten up with your picking hand? I get the feeling that you are strumming/attacking a little bit too hard.

It was good, just gotta work out the kinks in it.

Thanks Taso! Yeah, after I did the first one I never really worked on it until now, I've been working on it for the past week. I'll definatly keep working at it. :)

good shot yoyo!

i'll second the backing tracking suggestion - i recorded this about 3 years ago with the backing from guitarbt.com
http://www.alangunning.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/mp3/littlewing.mp3
it'll help you alot with the timing (which is real difficult in this song).

another tip would be to strum lighter as taso suggests, but also if you strum/pick quite high up (around about where the neck meets the body) you'll get a warmer glassier sound. :)

good job

I think another one of my problems is that other that other than when I get to the 5 fret barre chord, I'm just throwing around bits and pieces that I learned, not the real song. I'm gonna try to learn the real song with a backing and all when I go to my my guitar lesson this saturday. :)

BTW does anyone know what scale to use in Little wing? I used E minor Pentatonic because thats the only one I know. :?

Aargh... another thing, has anyone had problems recording? Like you're on fire, and then when you decide to record, you get nervous and suck. :(

lol. Yeah, you should keep doing takes. If you find one you are happy with, make sure you keep it. And then see if you can top it. Sometimes you may get lucky and do a perfect take the first time.
