"Tears in Heaven" is a song by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings from the Rush film soundtrack. We play this song in fingerstyle instrumental arrangement by Dan C Holloway.

Tears in Heaven is a song written to commemorate Eric Clapton's son Conor, who died when he fell from the balcony of their 53rd floor apartment. The fact that it made it into a film is to relate the events in the film to a period in time.

See pages 266/7 of Clapton's autobiography.

I know the whole story about his son. This is how it's written on wikipedia.
