Well here is the first proper track with the Epi Sheraton. I'm loving this guitar more by the minute it's a veritable tone machine

Gerry,

Wow dude you got tone up the kazoo, that was really nice. curious which pickup did you use to play this neck/bridge.

That is one sweet sounding guitar.

Thanks my friend. bridge pup on the main lead and kneck on the chorus bit. I can see why people go for these guitars and the ES335 Gibson you can go from gorgeous Jazz tones to screamers LOL

I'm also wondering why so many Epi Sheraton owners moan about these Epi pups I reckon its the tone pots they want to replace as the pups are just great.

ohoh. crossing genres Gerry? I like it when you throw in those classic rock bits.

the Shereton has nice tones. you will have a few more months to find them all.
and I bet you can start all over again and find more.
that's what a goog guitar can do.
thats what a good player can do.

where is that thumb's up emoticon?

Thanks my friend I always have love affairs with my guitars, well nearly all LOL Mind you Brownie looks better than any guitar I have ever owned and believe me I have had a few. Looks good, sounds good, feels good and with luck will in my studio for a long time.

That thing has really great tone. The production sounds professional also, have fun with it!

Thanks Trev I have been trying to play guitar for close on 49 years with luck I still have a few to go  Its a labour of love and I still get the same buzz as I did when I picked up a Hofner Senator in 1958 at the age of 13. I open tuned it and played that way for a whole yesar until someone showed me how to tune it properly LOL

I have no doubt that you Trev and most on the GN will get there and beyond a whole lot quicker than me.

Hey Jerry, Nice tone and tasty licks 8) My wife got me a Epi 335 Dot for my last birthday. It does every thing from Blues, country to hard rock and metal. I had thought about replacing the pups but after playing it a bit I don't really see the point. Epi makes a really good guitar for a price most folks can afford. For another 2K I could get the Gibson version but I think I'll put that 2K back for retirement

Thanks my friend I think the let down with Epi's are their hardware and electrics. Pups are sweet though. OK changing everything to Gibson except for the pups costs about the same as the guitar but hell that's still a total cost of less than half the price of a Gibson ES335. No brainer I think.
