Okay, this is for a group of guys on another forum, but I wanted to share. I'm trying to hone my mixing abilities, and would like to do something along this line here as well. I know we have the talent!

do you mean to have several players taking parts of a song?

Yeah. I've mixed this track already, I'm just doing the video right now, which takes longer, so I put that preview together to be kind of corny and well....to be kind of corny.

There were 3 players here, one doing lead, one doing drums, and one doing rhythm and bass.

No vocals for this one, but I hope to get one for another one.

That's pretty cool Joe. In a corny way. j/k

So is the sound taken from the video, or was it recorded separately? Or done with a separate audio recorder at the same time? Seems potentially complex; we can't even get people to lay down riffs on a computer around here anymore.

All of the audio was recorded separately EXCEPT for the lead that was camera, then I adjusted all the other audio to try and match the lead, so I had to lower the quality some to get them to sort of match.

It's not real complex for the player, just record your stuff into a computer, and tape yourself with a camcorder, I take care of the rest.
