Not that this means anything, but here's my bit of input:

The guitar and vocals I think sound fine, I really enjoyed them.

I think that the background though is a bit distracting because it seems to play at a different pace than the rest of the song. It matches up at points, but other times it seems to be off pace.

Of course I'm not very technical as far as songwriting or creating music....or being creative at all :D I can just comment on what I thought worked and didn't to my ear.

Good job though! I listened to the others that were one your soundclick page and enjoyed them!

In Space, no one can hear me sing!

Very nice as always, Matt. Very nice.

Joe, thanks for the input. I think you're right. I need to line up the background (beat). Was on my to do list but forgot.

nice :D
i like the back beat - very atmospheric - was that something you did or is it from some software?

I like it!

The main fluttering sound in the background sounds like a "wobble board."

I like it muchos, like all your stuff. Is this electronic-soundscaping thing you've got going lately your New Direction? If so you've got my blessing!

Thanks all.
I should have mentioned in my first post that this is actually a cover. This is an Edwin McCain song. I didn't even think of it, to be honest. I mentioned I was going to do it in the "What are you working on now..." thread and forgot to state it here.

ANYways...good catch on the electronic-soundscaping Arjen. Yes, I am slowy moving in that direction in my original compositions. Have always loved spacial music. Teaching myself to play the keys and have been fooling around with the Aturia Analog Factory Synthesyzer software. Love it! That's why I was very drawn to your earlier compositions!!

Ric, I've never heard of a wobble board. Cool stuff! Thanks for the link.

No need to thank anybody...unless someone opened yer head and put your talent in there!

Keep pluggin'...watch your dynamics in the mix most carefully...and toss in a nice middle every now and then!

Yep, and the wobble board is the instrument used by Rolf Harris on his version of 'Stairway to Heaven'.
