I've been recording with a USB microphone and have been getting a background noise. I think it might be the sound card, so I'm thinking of getting a cheap interface. That would solve the problem, right? Does anyone have any recommendations?

Lexicon has a nice low end digital interface (USB). I use a Lambda. a good sound card is essential with or without an interface.
