Hey,
I just downloaded Audacity and right when I loaded it up, I pressed record to just record any noises around me such as the T.V or whatever, to see how well it's 'cord free' recording abilities are.
BUT...
For some reason when I press record, it's not working at all. The sound fluciation bars are flat lined, indicating that I'm not recording ANYTHING.
I do have a mic built in my pc, but I dont know how to use it.
But then again, when I went to my Sound and Audio Devices folder to see if I had a mic, It said that my mic is my speakers... and by golly my speakers are on and working.
What do you guys think is wrong ?

You need to select your input source - it's on the right hand side of the screen near the top, as I recall
