currently I am trying to find out, if it is possible, to emulate active pickups with my Variax and some added EQ. This far, I have been trying to do it all by ear and got pretty close to what it should sound like. Unfortunately I have no idea, what an EMG-81 really sounds like without being amplified.
So I was hoping to find someone, who is willing to provide a clean DI track witch his/her EMG-81 which I can work with. I would be very greatful and you would be helping me a lot!!!
I know, there is the wonderful Redshift pickup replacer by AcmeBarGig (powerful plugin by the way), but I was hoping to implement my Variax a little more and its abilities of shaping a tone by adding EQ macros.
So once again, if anyone is out there, willing to provide me with a short mp3 of his/her EMG-81 bridge sound (just play some singlenotes, some chords and vary on the fretboard) I will never forget, what you've done for me ;-)
