I just got my new XENYX 1204 mixer from MF. I have just taken it out of the box. Anyone have any experience with this mixer. It will replace my Tascam portastudio 424. This has the option of going analog through my audiophile sound card or a USB connection.

I have the previous, albeit slightly smaller, version, the Eurorack 1002.

I have absolutely no complaints, it gives me everything I need - mic amps, phantom power, etc., etc..

Mine doesn't have USB, so it goes to the sound card.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

I've got the older series, UB1202FX. It has no power-off knob so it has been running non-stop for four years now. It has collected a wide assortment of beverages and never complained once. Mic pre-amps are decent, cool for normal mics.

I am using the even smaller UB802 and think it is doing a good job with decent Mic pre-amps.
The Xenix series should have better mic pre-amps.
Smoking dog , tell us how the ( in the package) included USB interface U-control UCA 200 works with ASIO2 drivers

I haven't used the USB interface U-control UCA 200 but I loaned it to my brother-in-law to record church services on his laptop. I said it works very well :D
The one thing I had a problem with was the trim control. I had to turn it up all she way to get enough signal to the sound card.I got some XLR (Female to male RCA) and hooked it up to the sound card that way(It has XLR line outs). This fixed the problem and I have much better control of the out put now.

There should be a little switch that gives those channels a boost, Dog. It's at -10dB normally but can be switched to +4dB. With the volume of the track open you shouldnt need to set the trim too high.
