Hi, bass players!
Could you please tell me your opinion about my idea? Im going to make bass vid tabs, but with something special, see examples here: http://youbass.net/ (its a kind of demo version).

As you see there, there are no 'classical' tabs, but a fretboard with jumping dot showing which note is being played instead.

Is this a good way to learn songs? Would you use such bass tabs?

Please, leave your opinions, here or on Youbass' facebook page (a link can be found on Youbass, on the left).

If you think this is a good idea I'll start a 'full version' of the website and will be publishing 2-3 video bass tabs every week.

Thank you for all your opinions.

I think it's a great idea. I often hit YouTube when I'm trying to figure out a song and see how other people are playing it. I've recorded a few videos myself and would be willing to contribute to your content.

I am subscribed to a YouTube channel with this kind of videos for bass but I never watch the videos... I guessed it could be a good way to learn songs but when I tried a couple of videos they didn't seem too useful.
