For those of you who weren't aware as I was till a few minutes ago, the backing track CD for BYCU first lesson book is now available on the BCYU store site. These are slow and regular tempo tracks with the lead guitar removed. There is a spot on the site to download or listen to a sampler. The price for Canada-USA-Mexico is $12.95 + $2.00 shipping and handling all others are an extra 2.00 shipping I believe. I just ordered mine as I think it'll be a big help to my practice sessions.

Thank you for posting that, Robbie. I just ordered the backing tracks CD, too.
The full track CD provided with the book helps me learn what the song is supposed to sound like, but it also masks my mistakes as I play along. I need to hear my own rough edges to be able to work on them.
I wonder if eventually they'll include the BTs on the CD along with the full tracks.
