We've got a couple of really great guitarists coming into Echoes in the next two weeks to play live on the air. Pierre Bensusan is a finger-style legend that probably needs no intro, but William Tyler, son of a Nashville song-writer, at 31, is from a new younger generation of players pushing the envelope of finger-style guitar. They both play live on Echoes in the next two weeks.

Tuesday 02/08
Interview: William Tyler
Dan Tyler wrote country western songs like Bobbie Sue, but his son William
Tyler has gone in a different direction. Influenced by finger-style
iconoclasts like John Fahey, he picks out Americana songs tinged with
atmospheres more influenced by Brian Eno. He talks about his influences
from his new CD, Behold the Spirit.

Tuesday 02/15
Living Room Concert: Pierre Bensusan
Pierre Bensusan is such a finger-style guitar legend that Michael Hedges
even named a song for him. The dean of DADGAD tuning comes into the Echoes
living room to play music that ranges from evocations of Middle Eastern ouds
to Americana.
