It has received staggering amounts of press. I suppose this is a good thing.

What? No opinions?
I saw it this morning and E-mailed Eric directly. I think it's way cool. Wish I could afford one!
(Eric Barbour, "Metasonix," is an old friend of mine due to our common interest in old vacuum tubes. He builds some incredible gear using old "TV tubes" that most guitar amp builders and audiophiles won't give a look at. His equipment names are a little out of the mainstream. Reminds me of the old joke: "Know it? Heck, I WROTE it!" If that doesn't bother you, he's got some of the coolest gear anywhere!)
:D

What's with the name? Or is that suppose to be cool? I think if the amp is technically sound, serious buyers would probably sticker over the name.

yeah. some of us aren't teenagers
might be a great amp, but imo the name is a deal killer
#4491....
The name's gotta be a turn-off for retailers too - even if they don't object to it themselves, they've got to account for people who would be offended to protect their sales.
Wouldn't be my choice of names either, but I think he'll sell all he wants to build. It really is a cool amp. The video's got some demonstration in it.

hate the name. I bet all the knobs go to 11.

The video sound quality could inspire one to buy a Digitech RP50 instead...
