I sometimes head over to GuitarNotes.com. It is a very friendly forum community of mostly older guitar players, and the moderators are very well informed, so it is a good place to go for advice. It is a little more "low-key" so it isn't really a place to chat.
Anybody know of any good guitar related forums similar to GuitarNoise?

BigroadBlues.com is good
Bluesyoucanuse.com is good if you have the book
I'm gonna check out that guitarnotes though, thanks!!
I also found out about Harmony-Central.com. It has a ton of reviews and the forums are decent. I wouldn't go into the "Open Jam" section, its just a buch of immature kids yelling at each other.

This is infact a very good site for some solid theory lessons ( esp by Gunharth Randolf ) and the forums are nice.I am a member there , though i have not participated much as i am too lazy to study Guni's lessons and pose questions...
Thanks for the reccomendation.

I find the Electric Guitar, Amp, Effects, Cool Jam and Guitar Jam to be not much better. There is some good stuff on those forums but you really have to trawl through a load of rubbish to find it. Can't be bothered most of the time. The reviews section is certainly a good resource.
I lurk around the ibreathemusic forums regularly as there is some good stuff on there but haven't got round to registering yet.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.
Yeah, I'm quickly beginning to notice that.
