Ever wondered what makes a good guitar? Ever wondered why you can't nail the tones that some of your favorite guitarists get? Check out this link:

At the top of the list is an intimate interview with Eric Johnson in the studio. This man has amazing tone! He's also an incredible guitarist. Some great tone lessons here.
After that is a twenty part interview with Paul Reed Smith. This guy knows wood. It makes me truly appreciate his instruments and helps me understand why I can't afford one.
That's a great interview! So far I've watched the chapter on his pedals and amps probably half a dozen times. I dig the way he's got it split off with a series of A/B switches to the different amps.
I'm not the biggest Eric Johnson fan, but he does have an absolutely beautiful sound.
Likewise with Clapton. I have to admit I'm not a huge Clapton nut, but I was watching a thing on PBS the other night where apparently Cream had reformed or something, and his guitar tone was just incredible.
Great videos! Thanks Hueseph!
I 'discovered' to Eric Johnson a couple of months ago. A friend lent me one of the G3 DVD's in which appears Johnson. I'm not a big fan of that kind of players but I understood Johnson is different... or perhaps he uses a Strat.
