okay, so i am looking for an item that switches my pedals for me.
say im on my dirty channel on the amp, od pedal on and i want a clean sound with chorus. instead of having to switch amp channels, turn off the OD and turn on the chorus, i just want to step on one button. Some one said that this is what i need. The site confuses me. Is this already loaded with effects that i can change, or does it switch MY pedals???
Is this worth it or is there a better and cheaper alternative?

Key word here is midi. So it will control any of your effects that are midi capable, but more likely, a single midi capable multi-effects unit like an spx90 or Line6 POD. That unit looks fairly limited though. It would probably work ok for something like the spx90 or similar unit. To further complicat the issue, in the example given for Dirk Lance's rig,the box seems to only be a controller over a signal router as per the diagram.
