Hi All,

I've got a small Crate 1x12" 75w combo.  The thing is, I'm playing in a band as lead guitar, And I'd like to increase the volume a bit.  I know I could mic up the amp and put it through the PA, but my real question is, If I connect my combo amp to a 2x12" or 4x12" extension speaker cabinet, will this increase the volume, or will it just split the volume between the new speakers?

Also, would it be possible to build my own speaker cabinet, as I know some people who could wire up the speakers, and I can build the box, but do I need any special resistor circuits or amplifiers or anything like that?

Any advie will be appreciated  :)

Thanks
Brad

You can add the speaker cabinet just fine. you will be able to move more air. No it won't split the volume between the speakers. Check your Ohms for the cabinets to match your amp.
