It happens to the best of us...

Yeah, it could be that you need better quality cables, that makes a difference.

Or, if it happens a lot, you might want to fit a capacitor to it (250 k, i think). Take it to an amp specialist, and they should be able to sort it out relatively easily, and quite cheaply. I don't suggest you do it yourself, amps can be dangerous things...

One thing that you can try - tie a knot in your guitar lead.
Any length of straight metal can become an antenna, especially 30 feet of copper wire. Tying a knot will muddle the signal and kill reception.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

I have two guitar chords that are triple shielded.  Do you think that would be sufficient to cut out all radio noise?  I've never experienced that with any normal cable, either.

Shielding should work.

Some people suffer it, some don't.

Is your guitar plugged in when this happens or is it doing without. Your not using one of those 2 prong adapters on the electric cord, rather than the 3 prong grounded plug.

Try different size guitar cords, you are using a shielded guitar cord.  Are you using a wireless?
