My neighbour, who is working a lot with music, suddenly had a lesley speaker in his appartment  . He is planning on selling it and he wondered if I would perhaps borrow it

It's very interesting - to say the least. Think I will have to buy it

sounds like playing organ - (strangely enough  )

some noodling - from the 'speaker out' of my fender amp, into the Leslie. Listen to 'Like a Rollin stone'

some pics - it has seen better days. but it is working

hey Lars. nice find. hang on to that if you can. the effect and tone are priceless. it is the real deal.
I had an old organ that had a Leslie speaker system. flipping the switch and watching/hearing the rotating speaker build speed is most excellent.
I had a multi FX pedal a while back. one of my favorite settings was the rotating speaker. it got very close to a true Leslie sound. what you have is better.
use it carefully. you don't want to wear out it's aural excitement to your and our ears.
Buddy Guy used a Leslie effect in his early blues playing.

Very cool!

Do you know if it comes with a variable speed control? I believe that there were several variations - single speed, two speed, and variable.

Yes, very cool! 8)

I love that effect. I can achieve a leslie-like effect with one of my pedals but that is the real leslie! Did you already play some Badge notes with the leslie?

Laz - it's only one speed - I think I would like it to go slower often. It's possibe to turn it off and on and off and on ... comes with a foot switch. Maybe it is possibe to rebuild it to be variabe speed...

Nuno - Badge notes??

I need this one - it possibly sold already but I wil look out for another one in that case.

:D :D

I'm sorry, Lars. I mean Badge. Clapton always uses a leslie in that song. Around 1'14" in that video, when the song starts again after the break. Here it appears but it is probably best viewed in the Hyde Park concert DVD but I didn't find the video... Great! Here it is: Hyde Park concert.
