So what are the pros, cons, and differences between these bass cabinet sizes?

1X15
2X12
4X10

As far as I know, smaller speakers are "punchier" - that is, since they're smaller, it takes less power to start them moving. Meaning that you get a very quick response. I'd guess they're also brighter in the midrange (relative to the bass), similar to guitar speakers.

Larger speakers can move more air, so you can get a lot of power and sound, but they aren't punchy at all. Takes a lot to get those cones moving. Good for deep bass, generally - as far as I know they are optimized for lower frequency responses than smaller speakers, even if they have a similar usable frequency range.

4x10s are kinda heavy. I know this from experience. :P

i thought the 4 x 10s were less bassier
and the 1x 15 waS better for bassy songs
therefor if you ever want to make a full stack
use a 1x 15 and a 4x 10 cabinet
making your tone farely even
i duno
jst what i was told
