for starters, I have practically no experience with acoustic amps... so please excuse my ignorance
Is there any advantage of a tube acoustic amp over a ss acoustic amp when you are only trying to amplify the acoustic as cleanly and uncoloured as possible ?? (ie. no overdrive, no distortion etc.. just a clean acoustic tone, but louder)
I understand tube saturation and such with electric guitars and tube amps, but I personally can't see the benefit of a tube acoustic amp... The sound should be as clean as possible... right, so could a ss do the job as well, or better, than a tube amp?
what are the advantages and disadvantages of either ???

I love anything with tubes in it, but you're exactly right that there's nothing to be gained practically by using them when you're only looking for clean sound reproduction.
