I've recently purchased a VoxAD30VT amplifier. This amp was recommended to me by most people on this board and many other sites and guitar shop guys. So I was wondering what is the tube equivelant to this amp? Like what tube amp would you recommend for a person who just plays for a hobby and doesn't intend on doing any gigs or anything?

This is a true 5 watt tube amp and will be just as loud (if not louder) than your Vox. It also has effects built in, but not amp simulations like your Vox. The price is very similar.

Do you have a specific model on your AD30 you like? Each model is roughly based on a tube amp so if you know which model you like it;s easy to suggest the corresponding tube amp. As for recommended tube amps, what Wes said.
