Hi everybody,

I think my Vox AD15VT amp died on me :(
When I switch it on, the only sound it produces is rather loud hum. When I plug in my guitar nothing happens. On the "clean" presets the humming is louder than on the other presets. I've already replaced the tube, but the results were the same. I'm not sure how this happened, but it might be the result of playing my bass guitar on it (I know its bad, but it was the only way to record bass on my PC  )
Do any of you have an idea what could be wrong and if it's fixable or is this the end of my amp?

Welcome to the forum.

What a tragic question already?

Perhaps your bass guitar dislodged the speaker coil. This is rare, but could happen. Normally, the paper rips.

So, one way to find out is to test the speaker with a verifiable input, or plug the amp in to another good speaker.

haha a tragic question indeed =P

I don't get any sound through my headphones either, so I guess the speaker coil is not the problem.. I took the whole amp apart, but I couldn't find anything wrong.. I really don't have a trained eye for electronics, though.
