Hello fellow pickers. I'm an American expat living in Korea. Pretty typical story; played in garage bands in high school circa 1976, then grew up, got married, had kids and career and re-discovered guitar thanks to Larry Pattis, a very talented fingerstyle player who tours with El McMeen. Took up fingerstyle and now have over 20 (honestly not quite sure how many) guitars, play every day. I'm very interested in alternate tunings, esp. DADGAD and CGDGAD tunings but recently have been embracing and revisiting standard tunings. Also really into luthiers. Used to live in Austin, TX just up the road from the Collings Guitar factory, own a lovely Collings DH2, also have no less than 5 Taylors, a beautiful real (i.e. Irish, not Japanese) Lowden, a China-built beautiful Guild, two Thompsons, National Reso tri-cone and a variety of Gibson, Fender and other instruments. Have yet to find a Martin that fits the collection, but the quest continues. Look forward to sharing interests with this forum.
