Last June I finally picked up my old electric guitar that I have been hanging onto since high school. I guess I got tired of listening to my wife telling me to get rid of it. It had been almost twenty years since I seriously tried to play anything, so I was basically starting all over. Found GN and have been lurking since then. I picked up an inexpensive acoustic last month that I have been playing regularly (have barely touched the electric). The acoustic is more appropriate for what I want to play and easier to play when the kids are in bed (which is when most of my practice time happens).

If I can figure out how, I'll post pictures of my gear. I can't find too much information on my old electric (Lotus strat copy).

Just thought I'd say 'Hello' and thanks. The lessons and forums here are great!

Lotus Strat and Crate 112 Amp

I've had these since about 1984. I put new strings on and other than a short in the pick-up switch (only on the middle p/u) it doesn't seem too bad. Of course, I don't really have anything to compare to.

Indiana Scout Acoustic

I went to several guitar shops and played a bunch of new and used acoustics. The Scout sounded as good as any of them to me (and less expensive than most).

Welcome to GN.

Look forward to seeing you round the forums.

That's an interesting colour scheme on the electric.

Welcome aboard Tom! 8)

Nice looking guitars. I really like the colors on that Lotus Strat. :D

Good luck with your playing, and I hope to see you around the boards.

Welcome to GN.

That is a very interest version of a strat.

I like your acoustic, too.

Enjoy your rekindled interest in guitars.
