Hi everyone.
I've been checking out the site and this seems like the (virtual) place to be for the information side of learning guitar. After noodling around for several years, I finally got serious about playing last year and it seems the more I learn the less I know. :?
So far, my gear includes a Fender DE-11 acoustic, an Epiphone Black Beauty, a GNX4, and Marshall practice amp (about as far as I can go as an apartment dweller).
On the playing side, chords are no problem but when trying a solo my fingers act like toes on the fretboard... not that I've tried playing with my toes- it's just a guess. After nine years of music theory in orchestra and band during my school years many moons ago, I have a pretty good idea of what I want to play but the execution just isn't there yet.
It's great to meet everyone and I will look forward to seeing you around the boards!
Welcome to GN Zeklar!! Wish I knew that much theory!!
