I found this site a few weeks before I got a guitar, joined a month ago, and am only now just posting. Yep, I'm a lurker-type. :P
I somewhat spontaneously decided two months ago to play guitar (acoustic), and it's been going pretty well so far. I also play piano, viola, and, yes, the recorder. I like rock, jazz, folk, and music from Africa and Asia, and listen to mostly indie and Japanese artists (favorites: Shena Ringo, GO!GO!7188, Hikaru Utada, Noe Venable).
