Hello all,
Recently retired/disabled and starting yet another go at learning some guitar. Severe arthritis forced me to go from the acustic to a new electric, as it is thinner and easier on my bad shoulder. I have never in the past gotten past the basic chords and some simple note picking. I have never had any GOOD lessons and have relied on books and dvd's, etc. I enjoy slow note picking to tunes like Norwegian Wood, Greensleeves, Godfather theme "Speak softly Love, etc. I can play most basic chords but have no rhythm to save my life. I did order the idiot book advertised here and hope to pick up some more tips.

Hello To You, from the Oregon Coast!
Hey Riverwolf. Great to have you aboard. I've had a little bout with arthritis, myself, this year and pure black cherry juice made a huge difference. Mix in a few tablespoons with grape or cranberry juice every couple of days for a month and see what happens. This has worked for a number of people I know. Maybe you'll see some improvement.
