I've been playing for 20 years but stopped progressing about ten years ago. After visiting this site and looking at the wealth of free information and help I'm now inspired to break that invisible ceiling that has frustrated me for so long!!
Thanks Guitarnoise.

Hello, and welcome to guitarnoise. What kind of music do you play, and what kind of things are you trying to learn?

Feel free to ask questions about how to get better, or a style of music, etc. We will gladly answer them to the best of our ability. The only stupid question is the one left unasked.

Who needs a signature?
I mean really...
It's almost always lyrics...
or a cliche...
or garbage about me...
Lets just save YOU from the pain, ok?

I use to play bass in a rock band when I was younger. I was able to take what I had learned as an acoustic guitar player and "fake" being a bass player. I never really felt I was a true bass player even though everyone would tell me how good I was. We even came in second at a battle of the bands competition and the judges all made comments on their scorecards about me. I had them fooled. My heart was always in acoustic music.
I grew up on Paul Simon and Jim Croce. I currently enjoy learning Damien Rice, but most all acoustic driven music interest me

Welcome! And I pretty much agree on the acoustic music preference.

Music is the universal language, love is the key.

I second that.
