New to GuitarNoise and thought that I would say hi. I currently live outside of Toledo, OH with my wife and three cats. I started playing guitar at 12 (28 now) when my father bought me a strat. I sold my guitar though shortly after joining the army back in '96 and have not touched a guitar up until a couple months ago when I decided to get back into it. I managed to get my hands on a Ibanez RG320FM with a blueish lavender finish. I also aquired a Line6 Spider 112 50 watt combo for practacing in the house. Anyways I have to put my training wheels back on  so please be gental on my playing ability.

Welcome to GN, DV8! There are quite a few of us who took a "few" years off and had to start from nearly scratch again! You'll pick it back up in no time!

"Don't wanna ride no shootin' star. Just wanna play on the rhythm guitar." Emmylou Harris, "Rhythm Guitar" from "The Ballad of Sally Rose"
Welcome to GN.
Took a break or two myself but back for good this time.
Welcome!
Welcome to GN and welcome back to the six-string enigma! I know, someone already said that, but I'm another one who had a lot of lay-offs - 79-85, married to a woman who liked barry manilow and neil sedaka.....87-96, couldn't afford a guitar.....then my daughter wanted to play, that lasted about 2 weeks.....
Keep at it this time, but don't expect to get it all back at once - patience, grasshopper!
