Hi Everyone,

My name is Steve Bishop - I live in london - have been a bass player and
guitar player for some 25 years.

I pretty much enjoy recording on my computer - coming up with original
stuff that I like.

Ive always been a bit of Gilmour man myself - was into Pink Floyd way before
I was a musician.

I also like guitarists who want to do their own thing - especially people like
Charlie Burchill of Simple Minds and David Torn.

Glad to be here amongst friends.

Steve.

Welcome Steve!

I've just been reading your horror stories, you got off pretty lightly for 25 years of gigging!

David Torn rings a bell but can't place him.

Welcome to the party Steve. We think you'll like it here.

Welcome Steve, and glad you found your long lost brother over here!

(Bish shares the same last name as you if you haven't figured that out yet. :P )

See you around! :D

Hey, Thankyou for the welcome.

I used to have the nickname - 'the Bish' but I moved
and lost touch with those friends - so back to Steve.

Alan - David Torn has done a lot of work with Mick Karn
(My favourite and most undisputed original bass player on the planet)
over the last 10 years or so. Its not everybodies cup of tea.

Check out this Live Mick Karn with Torn on the right - I am not to
keen on this particular piece of Torn - it sounds like he is playing
another song! - but it is all I could find.

Oh yeah, horror stories - I haven't gigged for over 10 years - I couldn't go
on with those kind of stories, so I tried to earn a few quid, like doing remedial work
for people for little money to pay the ever increasing bills, and I thought it would make a nice
change to be told what to do all day long by small minded little men in important shiny coats
who didn't get their #@?% sucked the night before, so they were especially rude and aggressive
and were out for revenge on someone.

Hang on, isn't that a horror story?

Steve

Welcome. I'm assuming you are from London, England, not London, Ontario, Canada like myself. Though we do have a Thames River here.

All the best!
