"Don't wanna ride no shootin' star. Just wanna play on the rhythm guitar." Emmylou Harris, "Rhythm Guitar" from "The Ballad of Sally Rose"
I can't picture The Stones without Charlie, but then again I never thought Bill Wyman would leave either.
"The only way I know that guarantees no mistakes is not to play and that's simply not an option". David Hodge
Wyman is a few years older than the others, but I was still surprised when he "retired". Not so surprised Charlie would be retiring. He survied a pretty serious throat issue and things were scary only a few years ago. Not sure which article to believe, as usual.

"I wonder if a composer ever intentionally composed a piece that was physically impossible to play and stuck it away to be found years later after his death, knowing it would forever drive perfectionist musicians crazy." - George Carlin
Heck, bills been with them for almost 50 years  Besides, he has always been involved in side projects. He is a excellent jazz drummer. I'm pretty sure Mick, Ronnie and Kieth will find some really good musicians to jam with :D
Evidently this was a bogus report that was corrected quickly, Watts still with the Stones is what I hear.
