Hey David, if you come down to DC we can drive together to Raleigh.

OOO! My sister is living in NC now!

Falling in love is like learning to play the guitar; first you learn to follow the rules, then you learn to play with your heart.

David Hodge, WORLD TOUR! (OK, just the US for now).

What - you think we couldn't do with him in the UK?

:D :D :D

Okay...

I get myself down to DC and Nick drives me down to Raliegh. We do a day in Raliegh and then a day in Charlotte. Or we meet somewhere in the middle so everyone can get there? Then Nick drops me off at DC and I hoof it back home.

It's all great on paper, but to make it work we'll need some details. WHERE can we hold a get together for six to twelve guitarists? WHAT topic / topics do we cover? WHEN will this be? HOW much shall it cost? WHO makes lunch?

Seriously, I'm all for trying to revive the seminars again. But it will take a bit of planning and I can't do it all myself. Not with juggling my private and community college teaching schedules. So if you are interested, let's chat and get organized. Whether you're in Raliegh or Rotterdam...

World tour? I'm certainly game!

Peace

All righty then....

If you are interested in attending please PM me to let me know. If you are in the Raleigh-Durham area, and you know of a place that can host such an event please tell me. If you are in the area but you don't know of one, let me know and I can help, but I'll need eyes and legs on the ground there.

Let me know what topics you'd like covered....for instance:

Songs of Neil Young/Simon and Garfunkel/Kajagoogoo
Playing your first open Mic night/performance anxiety/etc.
Alternate tunings

I dunno, make some suggestions.

Also when would be a good time for you? Give me several alternatives.

Once I get an approximate number of attendees I can calculate the approximate cost.

If it's just you....a lot. If it's you and 10 others, not so much.
