:note1: To Chris a Happy Birthday,
A Happy Birthday to you, :note2:
:note1: We took up a collection  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and :? . . . . . . . . . . . . and :(
This song we bought for you. :note2:
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
Happy Birthday and many more Chris!
Falling in love is like learning to play the guitar; first you learn to follow the rules, then you learn to play with your heart.
Happy Birthday, Chris! :D
All my life I wanted to be somebody. Now I see I should have been more specific.
Happy B-day mate!
#4491....
Thank you very much everybody. :)
Sixty bloody two.... or as I prefer to think of it, thirty-thirty two.
My wife actually remembered this morning, when I had forgotten... When she asked me if there was anything special I'd like 'on the day' as it were, you'll never guess what I asked for....
..... an hour of silence to work on a song for the SSG forum here. No kidding. I got it too. She kindly went out to the shops and left me trying to concentrate. But thanks to the wonders of crummy connections and a 'dry' rheostat on a pedal (at least that was my main theory) I spent most of the hour getting crackling recordings and yelling at the equipment anyway!
I tell you, this guitar playing/song-writing thing is getting to me. This is a true story...
This morning I was driving back from my son's school and I suddenly realised that the car had picked up too much speed. The first thought that flashed through my mind was "Geez! Pay attention - I'm going at the wrong tempo!"
So if I get booked for doing 80 beats per minute in a 70bpm zone I'm going to tell the cops to send the ticket to Vic Lewis, seeing as it was an SSG assignment running through my head as I drove. Would they accept that I wonder? Driving under the influence of a three chord shocker... "Honestly Your Honour, it was just wasn't working at the old,speed...I'd have been booed off stage...."
Cheers,
Chris
Perhaps one of your birthday presents could be a metronome!
Happy birthday Chris!!! :D
or a metronometer.
Chris just be careful when you turn on the wipers.
You might start strumming the gear shift in rhythm and . . . well . . . just . . . do not strum your car.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
Happy birthday Chris! 8)
