I'd like to say that I spent the day in riotous partying, but in fact the morning was spent assisting at a controlled burn, and the afternoon at a course at firefighter school. I've recently joined the local volunteer bush-fire brigade, so we're gearing up for our summer fire season. We had friends round for dinner but I didn't have enough energy left for foolish behaviour, so it was a reasonably early night... :wink:
Ah well, at least I'm now officially of pensionable age (although I won't get one, as my wife still works) and I now have an excuse for.... um... an excuse for...ah... hang on, I'm sure it will come back to me soon...

Belated happy birthday wishes, Chris! Jeez - when I'm busy doesn't anyone look at the birthday files? It's Ian McWee's (Diamond Slides, highly recommended by Ricochet and Steinar amongst others!) birthday today, also Dan T 's and Kingpatzers. I think It was Bish's yesterday (I seem to remember he'd be 55 on 11.11.11!) and, talking about Ric, his the day before. So happy birthday to y'all!
