Onlu if you count getting Hodges books at 50% off. Bought the Rock and Guitar book today for my nephew.

Sad to see them go.

I bought a couple of sale books on the way out.

Fortunately there is still a B&N across the street. I like to browse the books before buying them, something I can't do on-line. But it's getting more and more common to get things on-line that you can't touch first. I've been lucky at that, got a great sax and a great guitar that way. But would have rather gotten them from a local store, it was impossible to get the brands I wanted anywhere near me.

With the Advent of the eBook explosion it was just a matter of time that stores behind the eight ball in technology would start going bankrupt. In one interview with a book store he compared it to being a Horse and Buggy manufacturer in the era of Henry Ford.

I own a Nook and only buy eBooks now, sold off all my Paperback books and most Hardbacks, have a ton more room after clearing away 6 bookshelves LOL.

I too have a B&N next to me, I just didn't like the elitist attitude I got when I went there. Especially regarding eBooks and Nook, when I ran circles around their sales guy about the technical aspects of it. Also Borders offered a free rewards card. And now with Agency 5 Publishing prices, you can't even use it to buy eBooks, so I won't be spending the $25 a year for B&N's rewards card.

The only books I buy anymore are Music books.

IMHO e-books won't replace paper books any more than the synth replaced traditional instruments. They will cut into a big chunk of market share and coexist with traditional books, but I don't see them replacing them entirely, at least in my lifetime.

In my world, there are room for both kinds of books and also reading directly from the PC or Android screen. More options make for a more convenient world.

I'm not a big book guy so it doesn't effect me that much. I'm sure evetually it will all go digital online with no paper versions but to be honest I hate reading from anytype of computer screen I like having the hard copy in front of me.

Im a huge reader, around 120-150 a year in fiction.

I think there is a place for both, but ebooks are outselling paper books right now. Especially on stores such as Amazon.

I think instructional material will not switch for a long time.

I've got a rooted Nook. Use it all the time, its almost exactly like reading a pbook. I thought the same way for a while, but now only use my ereader.
