(Well actually it was yesterday....Jan 16th, but the site was playing up....)

....that the Cavern Club, in Liverpool opened its doors for the very first time. A few bands have played there since....

Totally OT, but this reminded me of a picture of a gravestone in a book I used to have. It was inscribed in simple writing with:

Here lies Thomas Woodhen,
Most amiable of husbands,
And excellent of men
.

...and then in smaller text a little below it:

his real name was Woodcock, but it would not come in rhyme
