Okay, well i guess ill be the first to say it. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
I finish work for the holidays tomorrow so im feeling very festive at the minute.
As the band i play in all work at the same school, we are doing a short gig in assembly for the whole school tomorrow (750 pupils plus 80 staff - biggest gig yet).
we are doing some elvis and mustang sally but the name altered to "MUSTANG SANTA" and completely new festive lyrics, i dont think i will ever enjoy a day at work more.
Just also wanted to say as the year comes to a close that i have learned and progressed more over the 7 or 8 months i haveen here than i ever thought possible. People here have been very generous with the time they have spent replying to a lot of my posts and i totally appreciate it.
Have a great christmas period guys - lots of time off work to play that guitar!!!! :D :D :D

friday our museum is having the 'holiday' party. being part of the installation crew in the museum our normal duites are putting up art. but today we are in the midst of decortaing our carpentry shop. it will again be transformed.
this years theme (they change) is Bollywood. lights are up and the walls have projections of bollywood films. props of cardboard shaped like Indian architecture are going up next. we have hired a tabla and sitar player. I am bringing my electric sitar/guitar tomorrow.
the audio visual guys are hooking up the PA. really awful bollywood music is blasting.
it is beginning to get interesting. I'll take some pics.
we never do the traditional Christmas party thing.
