For stands, I bought 2 of these and they work great for gigs. They fold in half and are small enough to fit in my pedal board case, unlike the long necked stands. Plus they are all 1 piece, so you can't lose any parts. Bonus is they hold everything from my bass down to my mandolin.

Faraway Eyes is my absolute favorite Stones 'country' song. there is a great video on you tube. they are very young and there are great shots of Ronnie on slide guitar (pedal steel).
the band is laying down tracks for our demo CD right now. well, the bass player and I have. the vocals and drums and some fills are next. no discussion on PA system. I think the amp and mixer are in the shop. $$$is needed for a replacement. it is all agreed that we need to step up our game.
one thing that I have always wanted to do and now find that I NEED to do is work up a solo instrumental piece that can be played when there is a PA glitch, a broken string, or anything other 'dead air' time. I think playing something would benefit any situation like that. I have always admired Chet Atkins. great instrumental melodies. I need to narrow down my wish list and work on just one of them and have it down really well.
