He's given us a lot of good advice over the last few years, a lot of it in the bass player's forum - Coolnama, you should do a site search and look for the Johnson bass guitar he almost rebuilt from scratch. Very cool post - shows you exactly what you can do if you put your mind to it, and you're determined.
