There's a minor error or two (e.g. for some reason it says "Bill Haley" instead of Neil Young?), but it still gives you an idea of what I'll be up to tomorrow!

the band!

That's cool!! 8)

and good luck too. Reckon we'll get some pics later?

90 minutes - that's quite a bit. How many songs will you play?

BTW: Welcome Back concert is a good idea. Here at my institution after 5 years I've found one other guitarist and we've practiced once... Perhaps it's time to intensify the search?

I think about 25. I'll post the setlist after the gig (don't want to jinx it!)

The gig was a lot of fun and went really well.

As promised, here's the setlist (and I've noted what I played since this was my first time to play bass on a couple of numbers in concert)

First Set (A Beatles Set)
"Rock and Roll Music" (electric)
"Twist and Shout" (electric)
"Drive My Car" (electric)
"I Feel Fine" (electric)
"A Hard Day's Night" (electric)
"Eight Days A Week" (electric)
"Help!" (bass)
"Ticket to Ride" (electric)
"I Saw Her Standing There" (electric)

Set Two
"Blue Bayou", Ronstadt's cover of Orbison (electric)
"The First Cut is the Deepest", folky version of Sheryl Crow's cover of Cat Stevens (acoustic)
"Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone", Bill Withers (electric)
"Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover", Paul Simon (I sat this one out)
"The Bed's Too Big Without You", the Police (electric doubling the bass)
"Cinnamon Girl", Neil Young (electric)
"Long Train Runnin'", Doobie Brothers (acoustic)

Closing Set
"Get Back", Beatles (bass)
"We Can Work It Out", Beatles (bass)
"I Want You (She's So Heavy)", Beatles (electric)
"Lady Madonna", Beatles (electric)
"Oh Darlin!", Beatles (electric)
"When Will I Be Loved", Ronstadt's cover of the Everly Brothers (acoustic)
"Here Comes the Sun", Beatles (bass)
"Hey Jude", Beatles (bass)

It's so much fun playing for people!

Couldn't you have played some more Beatles? I didn't see Act Naturally, Rocky Racoon and Within you Without you on the setlist ;)

Seriously: Great!! Opening up with Rock & Roll Music and Twist and Shout - wow - guess there was "Beatlemania" in the audience after that?

I want a Beatles band too !!!
