Back to back one nighters 30 miles apart! It's been a while since I've been blessed with multiple gigs on a weekend. Friday night gained us our first testimonial! Here 'tis . . .

"Southern Roots nice job last night at our Lakeside lodge! . . . You guys have a good sound especially on the newer songs and that little Lady you got singing for you Man she is something else, everyone at our table was on the edge of our seats just waiting for the next song she was gonna sing. One thing that struck us a little odd was why she didn't do more of your songs?. I mean everyone sounded good singing but that girl is very talented. Your lead player is also very talented. Well good job guys hope to get you guys back out here again soon.
Great Job
--Dan Otto"

Saturday was a Valentine's Day wine and cheese soirée in Colonial Heights, and we got to play some of our more romantic tunes the early part of the evening. The wine flowed freely and the last part of the evening turned into a request driven, high energy twang fest. It was hard to tell who was having more fun - the audience or us!

Overall it was a super weekend for us. We played both nights to a packed house, made a lot of new fans, and had quite a few repeat fans specifically come see us.

Playing guitar and never playing for others is like studying medicine and never working in a clinic.
